**Jason’s Epic Food Tour – Stop 3 of 6**

No food tour would be complete without a visit to an iconic Seattle burger establishment, Red Mill Burgers.  We were introduced to Red Mill through an episode of Man v. Food and I instantly became intrigued by their giant mound of bacon that sits on their flat-top grill.

Red Mill has a cool retro diner vibe and some funky decorations. I wanted to see if the giant mound of bacon truly exists and lo and behold – it does!  OMG so much bacon.

We didn’t want to go too crazy since our food tour was only at the halfway point, so Mark and I got a Burger (lettuce, Mill sauce) with bacon (of course) and an order of onion rings to share.

I was a tad confused about the burger.  Clearly you can see there’s no lettuce, even though the description specified lettuce.  It also didn’t have any of their special Mill sauce.  Hmmmm.  Not sure what happened there.  Essentially, we got a plain burger with bacon on a toasted buttered sesame bun.  Not that it was a bad thing, but I expecting to see lettuce and the sauce.  Oh well.  We didn’t want to make a fuss and thought maybe we had ordered the wrong thing (?).  The burger itself wasn’t bad, just a little too plain.

The onion rings were a real winner, though.  The batter was seasoned nicely and crispy, and not too greasy.

I’m glad I tried Red Mill, but it wasn’t the most memorable stop of the food tour.  I think I need to go back for a second try before giving it a final verdict.
